Celebrate Thanksgiving With A Cranberry Pomegranate Hi-Fi Citrus Sparkler
The holiday season is here, which means you might be searching for the perfect mixed drink to pair with Thanksgiving dinner. Whether you’re serving turkey and gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, pumpkin pie, or roasted prime rib, creating a delicious “Danksgiving” Hi-Fi Hops spirit-free mixed drink is sure to be a highlight of your holiday menu, plus jumpstart the appetite!
When making Thanksgiving-inspired drinks at home, one of the best flavors to highlight is cranberries. Much like enjoying a cranberry sauce with your meal, cranberry flavors in a beverage will provide both sweet and tart notes that blend perfectly with a number of festive food items. Pomegranate and citrus are also reliable ingredients to include as pomegranate flavors compliment deeper, richer foods, while citrus provides acidity and brightness to help cleanse the palate during the meal. With this in mind, I am delighted to present the Cranberry Pomegranate Hi-Fi Citrus Sparkler.
Combining homemade cranberry simple syrup with pomegranate juice and a dash of fresh-squeezed lemon and lime juice, this mouthwatering drink is both refreshing and easy to make. Plus, it’s infused with THC for your drinking pleasure! To best add phytocannabinoids into this recipe, I highly recommend adding Hi-Fi Hops “Reverb” 10 milligram THC Hoppy Sparkling Water. This tasty infused accompaniment not only blends perfectly with citrus/cranberry notes, but it provides just the right amount of spritz and sparkle to keep your spirits feeling bright. Keep reading for the recipe, and serve responsibly. Happy Holidays!
Cranberry Pomegranate Hi-Fi Citrus Sparkler
Target Dose: 2.5 - 5 milligrams THC per drink (using ¼ - ½ bottle of Hi-Fi Hops “Reverb” 10 milligram THC Hoppy Sparkling Water)
Saucer or bowl
Cranberry Simple Syrup
Yield = about 8 ounces
1 cup cranberries, fresh or frozen
1 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
Cranberry Pomegranate Hi-Fi Citrus Sparkler
2 ½ ounces pomegranate juice
¾ ounce cranberry simple syrup
¾ ounce fresh-squeezed lime juice
½ ounce fresh-squeezed lemon juice
Hi-Fi Hops “Reverb” 10 Milligram THC Hoppy Sparkling Water
Garnish with frozen cranberries, fresh pomegranate seeds, and a sprig of rosemary
Begin by preparing the cranberry simple syrup. Add the cranberries, sugar, and water to the bottom of a small saucepan. Begin to heat on medium-low, stirring occasionally until the mixture begins to softly boil. Cook for 12 minutes or until all of the cranberries burst. Remove from heat, then separate the liquid from the solids over a Mason jar using a fine mesh strainer. Discard the solids (or better yet, enjoy the leftover cranberries as a sauce or blend them into a puree to use with another recipe), then set the Mason jar inside of the refrigerator to chill.
While the cranberry simple syrup is cooling, create the sugared rim. Add the sugar into a shallow saucer or bowl. Rim a highball glass with a lime wedge, then dip the top of the glass into the sugar creating the rim. Set aside.
Once the cranberry simple syrup has fully chilled, add the pomegranate juice, simple syrup, lime juice, and lemon juice in the bottom of a shaker tin. Add ice, then shake for 10 - 15 seconds or until very cold. Carefully strain the liquid into the sugared high ball glass filled with fresh ice. Top with Hi-Fi Hops “Reverb” 10 Milligram THC Hoppy Sparkling Water and gently stir the drink using a bar spoon. Garnish with frozen cranberries for a frosty look, fresh pomegranate seeds, and a rosemary sprig. This drink is best enjoyed using a reusable straw. Enjoy!
