7 Cannabis Strains to Pair with Halloween Candy

October 19, 2017

Halloween isn’t just for kids. October’s signature holiday might be even better as an adult given you can purchase whatever candy you want, eat as much as you’d like, and not get scolded by your parents. In addition to that, you can also discover some incredible herbal pairings to go along with that snickers bar!

If you are a sweets lover like us, there is usually a handful of candies that excite you every All Hallows Eve. Some of our favorites include Skittles, Twix, Nerds, Kit Kat Bars, Sour Patch Kids, Dots, and of course Snickers minis.

In preparation for the big night, we’ve come up with seven pairings that perfectly combine the flavors of Halloween candies and cannabis.

Skittles & Zkittlez

“Taste the Rainbow” with this playful combination of sweet and sour flavors. Skittles candy offers notes of citrus and fruit juice while Zkittlez presents sugary flavors and aromas of berries, citrus, and purple grapes.

Twix & Caramel Candy Kush

Two shortbread caramel cookies dipped in chocolate...yum. Imagine Twix’s delicious flavors paired with Caramel Candy Kush. This Indica-dominant hybrid has notes of caramel, spun sugar, and mocha which masterfully round out Twix’s smooth chocolatey taste.

Nerds & Strawberry Kush

Crunchy, fruity, sweet, and sour, there are so many tasty flavors of Nerds. One of our favorites is Strawberry Nerds paired with Strawberry Kush. This lively blend highlights this Hybrid strain’s signature notes of strawberry, sweet Meyer lemon, and a basket of fresh red berries.

Sour Patch Kids & Tangie

There is something so satisfying about eating a pack of Sour Patch Kids. It’s no wonder why this candy’s slogan is "Sour. Sweet. Gone.” The light coating of sour sugar and citrus juice make these sour-to-sweet candies a perfect match for Tangies notes of lemon, orange juice, and it’s namesake aroma of fresh Tangerines.

Kit Kats & Chocolate Thai

Kit Kats are a Halloween classic. The smooth, silky chocolate and slightly salted notes of the wafer cookie is a perfect match for Chocolate Thai. As the name suggests, this Sativa strain is best known for its strong chocolate flavors and aromas followed by a touch of cooking spices and espresso bean.

Dots & Kandy Kush

Regardless of how much they get stuck in your teeth, we love Dots. These signature gum drops come in multiple flavors of lemon, orange, lime, cherry, and strawberry. To match Dot’s abundant flavors, Kandy Kush presents strong notes of candied lemon and mixed red fruits on top of soft floral aromas. A great combination with this original candy.

Snickers & Peanut Butter Kush

Ok, let’s be honest. We could all probably eat about 50 Snickers minis. These small nougat bites topped with peanuts, caramel, and chocolate are just that good. Due to this candy’s sweet, salty notes and peanut undertones, Peanut Butter Kush is a great match. This Hybrid strain is known to have a distinct peanut butter taste. Pairing this with a Snickers bar might be a match made in heaven.

With Halloween just around the corner, pick your favorite cannabis and candy combinations without having to say “Trick or Treat”. Enjoy!

Peace, Love & Cannabis,
